We are human
I can make mistakes, I can make bad decisions, I can make hasty choices all because I can sometimes be spontaneous and not think straight.
I can be smart, I can make wise choices, I can make decisions that are good for all involved, I can take my time and think logically and responsibly. I can do that when I have a clear mind.
Does this sound like you, your friends, your family, like everyone who ever took a breath here on earth? Of course it does, we're human. As humans, we can do things that we might not regret per se yet feel probably wasn't the wisest choice for yourself or even others. It happens and we cannot kick ourselves for it. We ask for forgiveness and move forward, knowing that if that should ever arise again, we will remember this day and perhaps take a pause before making any decisions that could have an effect on others.
So today, I will remind myself that I am human, a carnivore who is trying to be vegan but just needed some protein. Gosh, why did I give up meat for Lent? Grrrr
