Hugs

Laying in bed again, wide awake at 4am, craving human touch.   Just to have arms wrapped around me holding me tight.   A hug, that's all I crave.  

I tried to hug my oldest yesterday, she wanted nothing of it, asked me why.....
  I couldn't tell her I miss being hugged.  

It's so important, physical communication.  I'm not talking sexual, even though, that is missed and craved, I'm talking pure human contact in the simplest from.   Research shows that hugs heal, calm, help with loneliness and depression.  Such a simple act can do so much good and yet we are so quick to hold back this healing gift.
