Ice Days

Today is a snow day, ice day to be exact, 2 days ago it was 71°, today there is winter storm warnings, ice up to a quarter of an inch, sleet, ice, freezing Temps, a great day to stay warm and cozy watching Angry Birds (for the 50th time) with 2.5 of my 4 babies.   Yes, I said .5, that's the oldests boyfriend, we count him, we like him.

Sitting snug in my fuzzy slippers, 3 layers on and hot tea constantly in my mug, fire somewhat burning in the fireplace (I built the fire) and a dog sleeping at my feet.   I'm lucky, I get to spend days like this with my kids, even the oldest who can annoy the crap out of me.

I can't complain, oh, don't get me wrong, I could, I feel like shit today but I WON'T because I am tired of being in that negative mindset.   I want to start every day thanking God for waking, end every day thanking God for what I've learned, what I have and what life is offering.

Today, I'm thankful for the ice, I got to spend time with my babies, time I wouldn't have had and I love it.
