2017
I am happy to begin the new year with the ones I love and the ones who love me. I am so fortunate to be where I am today, I am so incredibly aware of the gifts I have received.
God doesn't give you more than you can handle, so they say, yet in the midst of the trials and hardships, it feels otherwise. In the middle of the worst, nothing ever seems hopeful, the dark is all you can see, there is no light. Then one day, something cracks and a small bit of light shines through. With each new day, more light is let in and your own darkness becomes less .
2016 was a year of revelation, a year of becoming who I was always meant to be, a year of letting go of the past and learning to be in the present. 2016 was hard, sometimes unbearable, no light, yet once I cracked, the light wouldn't stop shining.
I am never going to stop trying to better myself, I'm never going to give up on me. If I have learned anything in 2016, it is to have faith in myself, to forgive myself and to truly love and honor myself. We don't give up on the ones we love so never give up on YOU.
2017 will be filled with new beginnings, new adventures, growing as an individual, growing with someone, loving and appreciating every moment.
