Love Actually
Watching Love Actually has become a holiday favorite, such a great heart warming movie. I'm so totally in love with Andrew Lincoln's character Mark, the sweet cutie in love with his best friends new wife. I can relate, not being in love with my best friends husband but not having control over who your heart chooses to love. "Mark" is able to somewhat conceal his feelings, he is able to hide behind his poker face. Me, not so much....my face gives away my feelings every time I look at that special someone that my heart chose. I can't help it, my whole body feels it so my face shows it.
Having a poker face would be great, especially when playing five card stud with my kids but alas, they know when I'm bluffing, in cards and in life. I've decided it's ok, if the world sees my happiness and my love so be it, it's not like I can hide it anyway. I was told Sunday how happy I looked just sitting in church, minding my own business, just being. I won't try to conceal my feelings, no one should, life is too short to pretend one way or the other. Be true to yourself and others and just freaking enjoy life. Don't hide, don't be ashamed, don't fear saying what your face already has said. Live life and speak your heart.
"But for now, let me say — without hope or agenda, just because it’s Christmas and at Christmas you tell the truth — to me, you are perfect. And my wasted heart will love you. Until you look like this [picture of a mummy]. Merry Christmas" ~Mark (Love Actually )
