In These Moments I Have Found Me
I thought about someone today. Tears came to my eyes, not tears of sadness, not tears of joy but tears of love. In that very moment, a love so pure swept over me. This love is a love of fearlessness, of calmness, of ease. It was just simply love. This happened yesterday as I mearly walked past photos of my children, a feeling of serenity settled deep in my bones.
I have been searching for this peace, this restful state of being my whole life. No fear of tomorrow because my mind, my soul and my heart are finding what they need in this moment. To be honest, it's not a continuous awareness, it is something that I will fight for and dig deep to hold on to. It is a practice of mindfulness and of being still. These moments are coming with more frequency and the state of euphoria is lasting longer with each moment.
I know that this journey won't be long, God has guided me to an understanding and a deep desire to be whole. I have the tools I need, I've had them for a while, I just didnt recognize that I had the control to use them. In these moments, I have found me, I have found my confidence.
" All you really need to do is accept this moment fully. You are then at ease in the here and now and at ease with yourself." ~Eckhart Tolle.
