Action Required

Love isn't a feeling, rather an action.

I was told long ago that I say the words "I love you" too often, I didn't understand and was hurt by this, in my mind, you could never say those words too much.  Always tell someone you love them, never let a day go by without saying those words.  Key there is "saying", not showing, not acting upon, not allowing your face, body and soul speak it.   I thought my words and actions matched.  I had no idea.

I would say "I love you" then not trust.   I would speak of love and shut people out, I would talk the talk and failed to walk the walk.    I don't know why it took so long to get it, why now I see that my actions showed fear and insecurities.  Why my doings failed to understand and trust.   The action of love was shown to me, daily, not just when it needed something yet every day, it was a constant.

I've learned so much because LOVE was acted upon and because I needed to see the truth.   I understand how to show love, be it walking away to give you peace, be it giving you space, be it listening, crying with you, holding you,  action is required to show love and show you, I will do.
