If I could Have Just 1 Day
So many times I wish I could have a restart , so many things I wish I could do or change.
The hugs I would give, the silence I would sit in and just listen. Words I would take back, words I would say, words of love and not envy, words of courage and not fear. The understanding I would show, the empathy and kindness I would so freely give. If only I could have just 1 day to make it right, I would do my part.
The heart was there, it was all in, it was full of love, it was all yours. I just wasn't ready, I was too scared and too wounded to know how to love openly and fully. Damnit, if I could have just 1 day, you would know that my love is forever.
